Where a declared Write lands in this table, for RemoteServer.write: one update ... returning of the row by id, setting each field's column to its value as the store encodes it, and answering the written fields as they now are. With expect, the row is written only while its revision column still holds that value, and the column moves on by one in the same statement, so of two writes from one revision one finds nothing to write. A binding with a visible rule reads back through it (read), so an answer shows its writer only a row they may read.
